Windows 10: Can't update Windows Server 2016 version after updating to 20H2 -> 0x80070006

Hello,


2020-12-29 I have updated Windows Server 2016 to the latest updates via Windows Update: Version is:Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.14393]


Now I cant check for updates always receiving error: 0x80070006.


I tried Control Panel -> Troubleshooting -> System and Security ->Windows Update -> Services registration is missing or corrupt -> Fixed, and if I do again or again and again it always showing that missing or corrupt and "fixed", restarts does not helped.

I tried to check or services for windows update are working -> they all running.

I tried to do sfc /scannow in CMD as Admin -> Everything OK no corrupted files found windows update still showing same error.

I tried to DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth as Admin and stillwindows update still showing same errorror


Starting to hate 20H2. Any solutions?

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.

FIXED!! Windows 7 sp1 never ends searching for updates

They made it part of the WU client then, or it's two different things doing the same. Too bad you can't download it separately.

Check the date on the one you thought it was. Nov 4 2015 <-That's not June
