Windows 10: Cant upgrade to windows 10 from 1803 to 1809

I have been trying for days to upgrade to windows 10 1809 and nothing works.


As far as i can tell error 0xc1900101 - 0x40017 is a driver issue. i uninstalled all drivers tried disabling etc. The only app i have installed is Norton, which i have tried disabling.


i have ran all system repair utilities sfc dism etc..


The only error in the logs i think is significant could be wrong is the line

0xd0000034 Failed to add user mode driver [%SystemRoot%\system32\DRIVERS\UMDF\uicciso.dll]


but i cant figure out which driver it is referring to.


I have used the setupact log utility to check the logs and it cant find anything.



Anybody got any ideas?

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:

• Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
• Try different keyboard or mouse.
• Restart computer, repeatedly.
• Google for related issues.
• Update Bios, because why not.
• Create boot media and revert to windows 7.

The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.

 

WMP for version 1809...


My Windows 10 N, version 1803 had used Windows Media Player via installing it from the "Windows_MediaFeaturePack_x64_1803.msu" file.

Updating to 1809 removed the WMP and no longer available in the apps list:





There's an updated version listed at:

But clicking on the link and looking for the 1809 in the drop down list of versions does not show the media feature pack available for download for 1809; instead it shows version 1709 and 1803.

Does anyone have a direct link to WMP for Windows 10 N, version 1809?

Windows 10 - 1803 to 1809

Hi,

Last week I downloaded 64 bit ISO from Microsoft site, I got 1803 version image only,

I heard Microsoft released windows 10 - 1809, if yes then where to download 1809 ISO

and I installed 1803 image which I downloaded and also activated product online ,

now question is

Will I get 1809 update automatically ? if yes then how ?

or do I need to get 1809 image and install my OS again? if yes, where can I download windows 10?
