Windows 10: Can't use gamma panel after installing the 1903 update?

Hey, so I installed the 1903 update and my gamma tools stopped working, lol. Gamma panel / Gammasutra, neither work, when before the update they did. I have a GTX 1080 and have already uninstalled the drivers through DDU and installed a driver I know to be stable that works for me.



I have been looking through the power options and noticed in display that I don't have adaptive brightness, "turn off display after" is the only option, so not sure if this is normal or not?



My monitor is the VG248QE which requires a custom color profile to get the best settings from it, so I'd like to use gamma planel/gammasutra, rather than screwing around with nvidia control panel or windows calibrate which screws with the monitors color profile, where gamma panel generally would allow me to reset it back to normal easily.



Anyone know why I can't use these gamma tools after this update? Lol

Night light and Gamma (DCCW) not working after Shutdown mode in 1903 update

Hello

As you can read in the title, Night light and Gamma both works for me only when i restart the laptop.

Microsoft mark that as known issue, so i have been waiting for the next update and they said those issues has been fixed, but nothing i still face the same issues.

Note: that's happen to me after 1903 update

any suggestion ?

 

Nvidia Control Panel and Gamma Control

Hello:

I'm considering purchasing a new pc. An important consideration in my choice is my control over fine tuning of display parameters:

Brightness /Conrast /Gamma/ Color Saturation

So I'm looking for PC with dedicated (rather than integrated) graphics card, which might give me the most control

Which graphics cards have the Gamma setting as part of their Graphics Control?

I do recall an Nvidia Control Panel which did have a calibrated gamma slider. Question is : Do all Nvidia Control Panels have that gamma setting nowadays? I believe Intel had removed that gamma setting from their control panel..So maybe Nvidia is doing that as well.

The Inspiron Desktop 5680 I'm currently interested in does have that dedicated Nvidia control panel installed, but customer rep couldn't tell me if it had gamma setting or not...It is a rather costly desktop-probably on account of the Nvidia. So I'm wondering if less expensive pc's with different dedicated graphics cards might have that kind of control.

I'm not a gamer, but I'm unusually sensitive to visual display. So gaming isnt a consideration. But display control is !

Cannot change gamma permanently

This could be due to the scheduled task that is set. I suggest you to try the steps listed below and check if it works.

• Search for Task Scheduler from the Start menu and open the same.
  
• Expand Task Scheduler Library and navigate to
  Microsoft\Windows\WindowsColorSystem.
  
• On the right pane, right click on the task
  Calibration loader and choose Properties.
  
• Under Triggers tab, click on
  At Log on and On Connection to User Session, and
  uncheck the Enabled box.
  
• Calibrate Gamma again and restart the machine to see if resets.
