Not Able To Change Resolution to 3440x1440 in Windows 10???

    Hi everyone!

I have a Surface Book and a new HP Envy 34c monitor. The monitor is working , but the resolution is awful. Windows display settings are not letting me change the resolution to 3440 x 1440. The highest it will go is 1920 x 1200.
I'm using the HDMI cord that came with the HP monitor, and plugging it into a "Mini Displayport to HDMI" adapter, which is plugged into the Surface Book Mini DP port.

I've run the windows updates and the display drivers (Intel HD Graphics 520 and NVIDIA GeForce GPU) show to be current.

What do I need to make the 3440x1440 setting available for the monitor? Is it something with the cables?

    Can't set monitor resolution 3440x1440

Well, the maximum resolution for that card is 4096 x 2160, so it should handle that monitor . . .

Open the AMD display software - usually accessibly by right clicking your Desktop

Somewhere on the settings page in that app, you will be able to set a custom resolution to 3440 x 1440
