Windows 10: Can't view .dng files from Windows "Import Pictures and Videos".

    Can't view .dng files from Windows "Import Pictures and Videos".


    I can't preview .dng files before importing them.

    View DNG pictures in "Import pictures and videos" Wizard. ( Windows 10 )

    In windows explorer I can view DNG format pictures. For some reason I cannot preview dng pictures in
    "Import pictures and videos" Wizard. The previews show up just before import which display as icons instead of viewing the actual picture. Is their a way to preview the dng pictures in "Import
    pictures and videos" Wizard?

    No this is not the first time accessing .dng file format. I did see the pictures in the import wizard before I did a full PC reset.

    I changed my camera settings to jpeg and it does display the picture in the import wizard.

    It is important that I keep them as .dng. Also I need to see the pictures I want to import.

    • Have you tried making a copy and change the format to .JPEG? If yes, were you able to see the display picture?
