Windows 10: CD ripping

Hi guys. I am trying to rip my cd's to mp3 for personal ease. The first one copied well, then nothing else happened, the second and any other I insert shows the ripping going active, just hangs there pending while windows WMP seems to do updates. I ticked alot of boxes to stop updates , and it is now updated.. but it doesn't start ripping, it collects the song title and album title then just hangs there saying pending.. Also the wmp has no sound although everything else like youtube plays perfectly. I recently updated to Windows 11. Please help..

We suggest that you perform these steps and check if the issue persists:

• Press "Windows" + "E" button on the keyboard.
• Go to "View > Navigation pane" and select "Show libraries".
• Now in the navigation pane, right-click on the "Music" library under "Libraries" and select "Delete".
• Now right-click on the "Libraries" and select "Restore default libraries".
• Now try to rip.

Query related to Ripping Music CD's through network

I understand your query related to ripping CD to Music Library. For further clarity on the issue, please respond to the question below:

• Have you inserted the disc on the client machine or on Surface Pro?
  

Ideally, if you are trying to rip a CD to a Music Library that is located on the network then you there are chances that it will be take time to process.



One of the convenient way I can suggest is to rip the CD on one machine and then copy paste to the Music Library on the other machine. Refer the section

However, please let us know the information on how you are trying to rip the CD.

Ripping music from a CD allows you to copy songs to your PC.

Follow the steps below to rip CD to your PC:

1. Open Windows Media Player.

2. Insert a music CD.

3. Click Rip CD.
