    Certain programs won't open in Windows 10 1909 November update


    Good evening,


    I have recently built a new computer, installed a fresh copy of windows 10 1909 on it, and I certain programs that worked before are not working anymore.


    One of them is Tableau Desktop.

    I try opening it, and the process gets killed instantaneously.

    I have monitored this with Process Hacker 2.


    The thing is, if I boot in Safe mode, the program opens fine.


    I have a VM installed on this machine as well, with Windows 10 1903, and the program works fine there.


    Any help would be greatly appreciated.


    I don't really want to re install again, I have a few things installed that are too much of a hassle to re do from scratch.



    My machine specs are.

    Processor: AMD Ryzen 3900X 12 Core
    Motherboard : Asus Crosshair VIII Hero WIFI
    RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200MHz 2x16GB (32GB)
    HDD: Samsung 970 EVO PLUS NVMe M.2 250GB (Windows installed here)



    Things I tried:


    SFC scannow

    Uninstalling Anti Virus.

    Clean boot (deactivating services at startup)

    Uninstalled 3rd party software (Photoshop, Corsair AIO software, ASUS software)

    Windows 10 won´t start any program as Administrator

    Hello. I´m having this issue since installed one of the latest Windows 10 system updates.

    When I try to open any program that requires Administrator confirmation (that screen with the Yes/No question), this dialog won´t appear anymore. The screen background stays darkened and nothing happens.

    1. Using Windows 10 Home (x64)
    2. My microsoft user account is properly checked
    3. I´m the administrator of the PC
    4. Already tried do create another administrator user account - same problem, no success
    5. Cannot start any program/service that requires administrator authorization (not even regedit)
    Please help!

    Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

    Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

    Steps to confirm issue:

    • Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
    • Secondary drive not visible in device manager
    • Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

    Steps to replicate issue:

    • Installing 1909 update

    Steps to resolve issue:

    • Uninstall 1909 update

    Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.
