How to Reset and Change Microsoft Edge about:flags Settings and Features in Windows 10


Information Microsoft Edge is a new web browser that will be available across the Windows 10 device family. It is fast, compatible, and built for the modern Web.

The about:flags page is used to change developer settings and enable experimental features in Microsoft Edge. These experimental features may change, experience bugs, or be removed at any time.

This tutorial will show you how to reset and change developer settings and enable experimental features on the about:flags page in Microsoft Edge for your account in Windows 10.


Note Starting in Windows 10 build 16299.15, the about:flags settings in Microsoft Edge have been updated to be more modern looking.

CONTENTS:

OPTION ONE [/i] To Change Settings and Features on about:flags page in Microsoft Edge
1. Open Microsoft Edge.

2. Type about:flags into the address bar in Microsoft Edge, and press Enter.

3. Check (on) or uncheck (off) the settings and features you want. You may be prompted to restart (close and reopen) Microsoft Edge afterwards to apply. (see screenshots below)


Tip When you open about:flags in Microsoft Edge, it will only show the 2 sections below by default.

• Developer Settings
• Standards Preview

You can press the Ctrl+Shift+D keys to see the hidden Diagnostics section with more options.















OPTION TWO [/i] To Reset All Settings and Features on about:flags page to Default in Microsoft Edge
1. Open Microsoft Edge.

2. Type about:flags into the address bar in Microsoft Edge, and press Enter.

3. Click/tap on the Reset all flags to default button. (see screenshots below)

4. Restart (close and reopen) Microsoft Edge to apply.

As of today, the only way to change the language settings on Microsoft Edge is to change the language of your PC. In the mean time, you can reach out to us regarding your thoughts about this feature, via Feedback Hub.

Setting flags, flag properties on emails, setting appointments and sharing

Hello
After 6 useful BB years, moved to Nokia Lumia 920 during thanksgiving

My major concern is the lack of email productivity on WP8 which BB gave and let me list them.

1. On Lumia 920 / WP8, only hotmail / windows live mail has the flag feature. While my office mail does show up, I can not set any flag ( the same for yahoo or gmail too on WP8)

2. Even hotmail does not allow me to set any flag properties like follow up date like we have on outlook. You just use flag to categorize your hotmail

3. Not having flag facility along with setting up flag properties makes emails unproductive and BB was very superior. Microsoft can not handicap users migrating to WP8 with such reduced email features

4. Also how do I create and invite people thru appointments which I did comfortably on BB?

I like Lumia 920 and WP8 but Microsoft has ignored such basic issues as above and even a .wav file will not play. I had to ask my voip provider to change my office voice messages to mp3 as microsoft will take a long time to fix it
