    Background change (to picture) results in a solid colour, not an image


    As the title suggests I try to change my desktop background and it will not accept the image. It will simply put a solid colour there instead. I have tried from the settings panel and even from the image viewer. The image viewer results in an error and suggests I need to activate Windows. It is activated.

    HELLO,

    HOW DO I CHANGE BACKGROUND COLOURS IN WIN 10 HOME VERSION? QUITE SPONTANEOUSLY THE BACKGROUND COLOURS IN MY PC WERE CHANGED FOR SOME STRANGE REASON AND NOW I WANT TO CHANGE BACK TO THE ORIGINAL COLOUR SETTINGS. WHERE DO I FIND THE DEFAULT BACKGROUND COLOURS?
    ACTUALLY I WOULD PREFER TO HAVE A WHITE BACKGROUND BUT WHITE DOES NOT SEEM TO EXIST IN SETTINGS/BACKGROUND COLOUR. MOREOVER ACCENT COLOUR SETTING SEEMS TO BE LOCKED. BY THE WAY, WHAT IS ACCENT COLOURS ACTUALLY? AREN T THERE DIFFERENT LAYERS OF COLOUR : BACKGROUND
    AT THE BOTTOM AND THEN 2-3 DIFFERENT LAYERS ONTOP OF IT?

    Change background colour settings

    5800 - change background colour!

    The background colour is controlled by the theme that you are currently using. The option is in the settings menu, see your user guide if you cannot find it.

    Change the theme (or install a new theme) and you'll change the colours. The colours cannot be changed individually, they are all part of the current theme.

    You can find plenty of free themes by searching google or in the ovi store.
