Windows 10: Change default font size in Mail app

I've looked and looked and cannot find a way to change default font and size in the mail app. Is there a way or registry hack or what???

Is there any way I can change the default font style and font size of the emails I am sending from Windows 10 Mail App. At the moment it defaults to Calbri 11 but all the other font styles and sizes are available in the menu at the top of the message.

Thanks for keeping us updated.

The mail app has the features to change the font size and zoom the font display but it cannot be set as default please follow the below steps on how to change the size of the fonts,

1. Open the mail app.

2. Click on New mail in the right pane.

3. Click on the space where you compose the mail.

4. Click on the drop down option of Font formatting

5. Select your preferable size and then compose.

The default font size is Calibri 11. That cannot be changed.
The only change you can make is to manually change the font size on each email when you compose a message.

In other more sophisticated email programs such as Windows Live Mail, you can set default font size as well as style.

 

Thanks for the reply. I was afraid this was the case. Hopefully MS will change this.

 

I have recently installed Windows 10 and have the same problem. When you are writing a lot of e-mails changing the font every time is a real bind. Come on MS get this problem sorted.

 

Yes this is really, really very annoying ! Please fix, as I never use anything but Arial size 14, for a lot of reasons I won't detail here.

 

I'm with you guys!
I quite like the Calibri font, but 11 is too small for my old eyes.
To be able to change the default font should be a basic option when developing an email app.
