Windows 10: Change download location on screen on desktop

Whenever I download a file from any browser or email, the file is placed directly below the Recycle Bin in the top left. It shifts all other icons down below that instead of putting it in the first available spot located from top to bottom, left to right.

Does anyone know how to stop this behavior? It is driving me crazy and I can't find an answer. I am currently running:

Windows 10 Pro, Build: 19041.867

Can I Change My Default Desktop Location??

Hello Lucas,

You may change the default location for the desktop and library folders on Windows 10.

To change the default location of the folders, please follow these steps:

• Click Start, type This PC and press
  Enter.
• Right-click the Desktop folder and select Properties.
• Go to Location tab and click Move.
• Find the new location for the Desktop folder and click
  Select Folder.
• Click OK to finish.

The steps must be done on each of the library folders.

Changed the 'downloads' location to E-Drive. Couldn't reverse!!

I suggest you to follow the below mentioned steps and check if that helps:

• Right Click on Downloads folder.
• Click on Properties.
• Select Location tab.
• Click on Move and choose your location.

I suggest you to ON the location service and check if the location is changed to your current location. If the location service is ON, the Windows will automatically find your location once the system in connected to internet and update
the location on the Apps, which has the permission to access to the location. Refer to the below link to ON the location service and more.

You may also change your Country or region manually by the following steps;

• 
  In the search box on task bar, enter Change region, then select
  Change your country or region.

  Under Country or region, select your new region.
