Change network path to a different user

I just got a new computer and I'm having a problem setting up my file system the way I want. After a crash on my other computer, the network path was ... \\DESKTOP-XXX##XX\\users\adbre it truncated my name. I created another User Name XXXyyy I want to use this User/Profile Name - to restore the files after servicing.

    - I was only able to create it as a local account and an administrator. Doing this causes problems when I save files. For instance, when I scanned a document - to copy it to the correct folder I had to click through 5 steps to get to the folder I wanted to save it in. It's been a nightmare - a huge amount of lost time.

    - After getting my new computer I tried setting up a new directory under the \\Desktop-XXXXXX\users\ADxxxxxxx as my primary account. I was able to do that as a local account - BUT - the new computer came with all my folders & hierarchy from the old computer - all I don't want. They were on OneDrive. I have tried deleting them numerous times but they just come back.

    - I want my network path to be \\Desktop-XXXXXX\users\ADxxxxxxx. I created this as the local account with admin permissions it wouldn't let me create it any other way but I want my files to be available on all my devices - not just this one.

    - I've tried changing the username path for the original file adbre but I can't do this either. I've researched for answers but I can't find a solution. I hope someone can help me - I really thought when I got the new computer I could set things up like I wanted but it has been a nightmare. I have been working on this for days & days & I really need to get back to doing REAL WORK.

    - Thanks in advance for anyone who can help!!!!

    :)

Incorrect Network Path in Drive Properties

As I said in my original post, I am only trying to change the network path listed in the N drive's properties. It should say \\my-pc\n but the network path is \\my-pc\d. I have no idea where the d came from or how to change it to read \\my-pc\n.
