    Change of motherboard

    Hi everybody

Can somebody please help, i am shortly going to install a new motherboard and cpu in my pc and i am worried about reinstalling windows on my ssd drive, my original installation was windows 7 retail and i got the free upgrade, my present installation is linked to my Microsoft account, so whenever i have installed a new HD drive i installed windows from usb and it activated when i logged into my Microsoft account, so the question is, when i install my new motherboard and cpu and ssd do i boot up again from the usb drive and install windows again this way or do i have to do something else, i can see various answers out there but they are conflicting, so can you good people please help.

    Regards

    :)

Overclocking / Undervolting guide for Vega 56 or 64?

    Here's a quick laundry list:

List of software to use for overclocking and testing
    Examples:
Wattman (and how to find and use it, like an overview, including profiles)
Unigine Valley or Heaven (use this for quick testing while changing settings in Wattman and checking for stability / artifacts) ...just suggesting this
How to monitor cores / mem speeds and temps during testing (I've seen screen overlays, and others using GPUz)

    Step-by step overclocking in Wattman
    Fan speeds
    Power limit
    Temp limit
    Voltages
    Core speeds
    Memory speeds

  3. Choice of memory and motherboard... a bit stuck...

No one who got some suggestions on this one, huh?

I've found out that the Asus M3A78-T needs to be flashed, so then that motherboard is excluded from my list. Which motherboard and memory should I then go for? Any suggestions?

    Windows 10 and upgrading motherboard

    Hi,

Thank you for bringing up your query on Microsoft Community.

The only hardware changes that can negatively impact activation status once you upgrade to free version are the changes to the:

    • CPU
    • TPM
    • Motherboard replacement
The following changes are examples of hardware changes that will NOT impact the activation status:

    • HDD/SSD
    • Video card
    • Adding extra memory
Let us follow the steps suggested by Andre Da Costa (replied
