Change Sign-in Screen Background Image in Windows 10

    Hello Greg, *Smile

Yeah, since the tutorial modifies a system file for the custom image, SFC will undo it when it restores the system file back to default.

Whenever I click the "Chose a picture button and takes me to the browse and chose a photo, the Dialog box appear saying "There was an error executing the application and it will shutdown"

I really like this program to change the background. I don't know why Microsoft don't allow their users to have this feature on their Personalize settings.

Hello juju, and welcome to Ten Forums. *Smile

If you haven't already, download a new copy of the program from the developer's site to make sure it's the latest version.

I have the latest version = ) I tried their .Pri recommendation I am able to chose the picture but when I apply it and test it, it flickers the login screen.. Fortunately I can log on to my Windows 7 SSD and copy the .Pri backup that I had and can log back in to windows 10..

thanks for the quick response though = ) I really want to use this program since I have a bg changer in windows 7 that works perfectly.

EDIT!!!*Eek Ok so it turns out that my Windows.UI.Logon.pri was either corrupt or when I've applied and used this app before the 1511 or version update for windows 10.. is it possible that the old .pri weren't replaced? I had to download the .pri file from the author and good thing I can use windows 7 to access my Windows 10 OS drive and access my system resources folder from windows 7 if anyone have go through this problem.. and deleted the .pri and .pri.bak file and copy and pasted it in there with just this single file. I've saved the downloaded .pri file for back up just in case this happens again. Hope this helps anyone! I love changing my login screen I can't understand why Microsoft won't add this feature.

Change Sign-in Screen Background Image in Windows 10

    UPDATE:

Previously on PC, there were two separate backgrounds for the Lock screen and then the logon screen. Starting in logon screen. If you’re a Windows Spotlight user – hold tight, you’ll see this change soon in a future build. We’re also working on some additional tweaks here to make the transition between the Lock screen and logging in much smoother.
