  2. After the last two updates, cooling fan runs non-stop!

    Hi Spruce,

To resolve the issue, we suggest you follow the steps below:

    1. Go to Control Panel ► All Control Panel Items ► Power Options.

    2. Click change plan settings.

    3. Click change advanced power settings.

    4. Scroll down, expand processor power management.

    5. Then, expand system cooling policy and change both to passive.

    6. Then, reboot.

Let us know how it goes.

  3. My System page reads incorrect .

    Hi: Abdul

This morning I turned on my computer and the SYSTEM page read correctly 3.82

Then I did what your said to do, when I got to POWER OPTIONS-Advanced settings, I expanded Processor power management. The only thing that appeared is System cooling policy. Under that was the word Settings next to that was a setting I could change . It
was on Passive but it could be changed to Active if I chose to do so. Should I change this to Active or leave it on Passive.

    Thank You: Paul

  4. Change System Cooling Policy for Processor – Passive or Active

    Windows 10 and CPU fans

I found a setting in the Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Power Options -> Advanced Settings -> Processor power management -> System cooling policy

mine was set to On battery: Passive Changed to Active - APPLY.

Plugged in: Active Changed to Passive then back to Active - APPLY with each change.

CPU Fan started up running faster again...

I think there was something glitchy when windows10 installed and the settings got messed up.

Hope this helps for some of you.
