Windows 10: Change the calendar for existing event in Windows Calendar

In the built-in Calendar app on Windows NOT Outlook, I have an event in my personal calendar that I want to move to a shared one. If I create a new event, I can select which calendar it goes into. For existing events, I cannot find a way to change the calendar. Is this possible without re-creating the event?

Change the calendar type of an event

Is the option available to change the calendar type of an event? When I create an event, it has a drop down to select which calendar the event falls under. However, once the event is created, I don't see a way to change the calendar type. Does that option
exist? OR do I have to delete an event (and all the notes, location, etc.) and create the event all over again in a new calendar?

 

Outlook Calendar events changed color.

Apologies for not responding sooner. I am working double shifts. I did try changing the theme colour and while that functions fine it has no effect on the calendar event colour.

Here is something of interest. if I right click on an existing Event. Then select Categorize it shows Blue as the top colour. Purple is the fourth down the list. If I then select Manage Categories Purple is at the top and Blue is second.

If the issue persists then, I suggest you to uninstall the apps which came inbuilt with Windows 10 using Windows PowerShell and reinstall using Windows Store. Follow the below steps.

• 
  Open the Start menu, type Windows PowerShell in
  the search bar.
  
• 
  Right click on the Windows PowerShell and select Run as administrator.
  
• 
  Enter the below command to reinstall the Mail and Calendar app.
  

get-appxpackage *microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps* | remove-appxpackage


After performing the above steps, install the Mail and Calendar app form the Windows Store.
