    Change Folder View Layout in Windows 10


    "uhm that method does not work. i want to set folder view as List as default instead Details for all folders"
    Did you download and run Brink's .bat file in Step 1 ? Lacking that, look at the screens in post 3. In Step 5 'folders of this type' defaults to each of the Windows templates for Pictures, Music, etc. If you want ALL folders to have the same List view, r-click any folder in each of the 5 folders under This PC (Desktop does not apply) and hit 'Customize this folder'. Set to 'Optimize this folder for General Items". Then follow the screen in post 3 using List instead of Details in Step 1 and you should be good to go.

    Access to Notepad denied after EVERY log in to Win 10.

    I also tried to find the notepad icon (as suggested by another source) in C;\Windows\Systems32 but could not get it to accept notepad.exe

    Please follow the below methods and check if that helps.

    Method 1: I suggest you to try using on screen keyboard and check if that helps.

    1. Press Windows+R and in the run box

    2. Type OSK and hit enter
    Use the On-Screen Keyboard (OSK) to type

    Method 2: Run Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter

    Follow these steps to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

    • Press windows key + W and type troubleshooting.
    • Select troubleshooting.
    • Select view all on the top left corner.
    • Run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

    Method 3:
    Update Keyboard drivers

    I would suggest you to follow these steps to update the keyboard drivers:

    • Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
    • Search for Keyboards and expand it.
    • Right click on the keyboard drivers and select Update device Software.
