Windows 10: change windows update downloads and installations

My Windows 10 starts downloading and installing updates right after I start my computer.

It slows down performance to unbearable.

When I look at Task Manager Disc is always taken 100% by System treads.


Is there a way to schedule downloads and installs at another time?

Or do them manaually?

The only option I found is to schedule restart hours but this will not help.


I am on brand new Dell Inspiron 3470

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time

Windows 10 forced download

^This, then reboot and go to manually update windows. Find KB3035583 in the list of available updates, right-click and "Hide this update" so it doesn't get installed again next go around.
