Changed ms account, problem with onedrive.

I change my ms account to a gmail.com address. The old ms account is set to delete 12/28/2016. My problem is that when I go to onedrive, it wants me to set time zone in outlook.com. When I check option I set language (English US) and time zone (Eastern US). But when I click on save it resets time zone to select time zone and does not save. Tried this on Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, and Firefox.

Also when I go to outlook.com I get this message.

@outlook.com will be closed on 12/28/2016

You're trying to sign in to an account that's going to be closed. If you continue, we'll reopen the account. If you cancel, your account stays marked for closure. Learn more about the effects of closing an account.

What do you want to do?

Well I do not want to reopen it, so how do I set time zone?

    Henry

PS another thing I just tried to download screenshot from the ms store, but it wanted my pin # from outlook.com. I tried it and it says there is a problem with your ms account, fix this on the web. So how can I fix this.

    :)

  2. Bad Pool Header BSOD with Malwarebytes (Again)

OneDrive is built into Windows 10. If you sign in with a MS Account it is already running. If not then you need to sign into OneDrive with your MS Account for it to open on the PC.

What I'd do if you have a Local Account is go to Settings>Accounts>My Info and click the link to change to a MS Account so you have full access to all the OS features like OneDrive, Skype, Xbox, etc.

Windows 10 ... How to unlink old Onedrive account

I had to change the Primary Windows 10 login account on one of my PCs.

Old MS Account -> temp local account -> New MS Account

Unfortunately when I login with the new account the OneDrive login dialog appears and is still showing the old account

... and there seems to be no way to change it.

Going to the basic Microsoft OneDrive settings dialog on the Account page shows:

"You don't have an account connected or we don't have quota information at the moment"

There is an Add an account button Changed ms account, problem with onedrive. :)

Unfortunately Changed ms account, problem with onedrive. :(

... when I click the add an account button

... and enter the address of the New MS Account on the Set up OneDrive dialog

    ... it shows the error:

"You're already syncing a personal OneDrive on this computer. Unlink that account to add a new one."

I hope it is not complaining because I have another account for my wife on this PC that is using OneDrive.

... One account per PC instead of each user having their own OneDrive account would be a serious downgrade.

I am presuming the Set up OneDrive dialog is somehow picking up the old account that's also being shown in the OneDrive startup login dialog.

The question is ... how do I clear that old account from OneDrive?

Here is a more detailed description of my problem. When I first created a Microsoft account I used a gmail.com address for my account. Sometime later I decided to go all Microsoft, so I created a Microsoft account using outlook.com address. As time went by I was able to upgrade and keep 30gb of storage.

My problem started with outlook.com email, both on PC and iPhone (5s). I started getting bombarded with spam for one thing, then out of the blue, my outlook contacts on iPhone started adding # no name entries by the hundreds. This is why I am switching back to gmail account in windows 10 and iPhone. I have imported all my contacts to gmail, deleted outlook account from iPhone, and replaced with gmail account. Next I spent 2 days changing my email with all of my online accounts and forums, and friends. I also went to Microsoft to delete outlook.com account.

Now I switched to my old Microsoft gmail account and I encountered the following problems.

    1. One drive has only 5 GB of storage, instead of 30 GB
    2. Microsoft store wants pin number from outlook account, when I enter pin I get message to fix acct.
    3. When I click on fix account it sends me to page to reactivate outlook.com account.
    4. One drive asks me to set time zone, I set it, and click save, but it defaults to set time zone again, retry does the same thing.

Aftermath: It became necessary to reactivate outlook.com account, until I can figure out what to do or get help from the forum.

If I posted this in the wrong forum I am sorry, please move to right forum.

PS I used Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, and Firefox to try and fix all issues to no avail.

Ok this is is an update. After talking to 5 microsoft support techs, and 2 web mail chats it was determined that my old ms gmail account was created before the free offer for 15 gb of storage and 15 gb for camera roll offer. I had already created a separate outlook.com account then took the offer. Niether accounts were linked, I beleive as an alias. When ms decided to reduce the storage back to 5 gb, they allowed users to click on a link a keep the 30 gb's. So to make a long story short, I had no choice but to delete ms gmail account and reactive ms outlook account.

I don't know if other people have 2 or more accounts, but I hope they both are in sync or linked somehow.
