  1. Changing account level

    Hi Folks

For some reason my PC on windows 10 has suddenly decided to start up on an account that is not an administrator and so I am locked out of items that will allow me to cure this. I get asked for a PIN and when I enter the pin I used for the account it tells me the account does not have access. I can't change the account to admin, I have tried recovery disks to get it to boot up as the administrator, I have even tried the original windows disk, all without any success.

Any ideas on how to resolve this would be appreciated.

    :)

  4. Changing account level

Query about changing the account name

    Hi Stephanie,

Since you have already changed the name on your Microsoft account, we suggest switching into a local account, and then log back in with your Microsoft account. This way, we can be sure that any changes made to your Microsoft account will be synced to your
    local user account.

For steps on how to switch to a local account:

    • Click on Start.
    • Click on Settings.
    • Click on Accounts.
    • Under Your account, click on Switch to a local account.

To switch back to a Microsoft account:

    • Follow steps 1-3 above to get to Accounts.
    • Under Your account, click on Sign in with a Microsoft account instead.

If the issue persists, please do not hesitate to get back to us.
