Windows 10: Changing Single Language Chinese WIndows 10 to Single Language English Windows 10

Hello there,


I jsut bought a HuaWei laptop in China that already has Windows 10 installed and activated. It is a Single Language Chinese version, that means I cannot change the display language of the OS via Settings. My only option is to install another version of WIndows 10. I have the SIngle Language English version of Windows on my old laptop so I would like to transfer this version to my new laptop.


I have already deactivated the activation ID on my old laptop and have tried to change the product key on my new laptop to the one on my old laptop. When I try to do this, I get a message saying that Windows is already activated. I'm not sure if this means that the product key I am trying to use is already activated on another device as I mentioned, I already deactivated the activation ID on old laptop or if this means that the Chinese version of Windows is already activated on the new laptop so it cannot be changed. I'm really confused. I followed a few different guides on how to update/transfer to another Windows product but I always get stuck at this Change Product Key stage where it tells me Windows is already activated.


One thing I've thought of doing is uninstalling the activation id on this new laptop just like I did with myold laptop but I'm not sure, I'd like to see what the community thinks I should do.

What does Windows 10 Home single language mean? Comparing to Windows 10 Home.
I need 5 languages packs in my Windows, those are English, Chinese simplified, Chinese traditional ( Hong Kong ),Chinese Traditional (Taiwan) and Malays.
I have installed Chinese softwares. Does Windows 10 Home single language support my requirements?

Windows 10 single language

I have recently bought a new laptop, which has windows 10 single language installed (Chinese). Sadly I don't know Chinese and would like to clean boot it to US English.

My question is: If I download the English single language ISO. Will it activate with the activation code from pre-installed version?
