    I have a desktop PC with windows 10 and since some time it asks me to perform disk check at every startup.

    If I let it proceed nothing happens and windows loads normally.

    I checked the disk (a Samsung SSD) with the producer software (Samsung magician) and the SMART report indicates everything is ok. However, if I perform a checkdisk from inside windows as administrator (C: -> properties -> tools -> check ) it says there is a problem, which is then unable to fix.

    The PC runs smoothly, but the startup is slower and it is actually annoying to be asked every time for the disk check.

    What might be happening? Can i safely disable disk check at startup?


    Incidentally, the issue started just after a major update.

    Disk Check Issue?

    I'm having the Disk Check issue again. However, this time, I can't use Startup Repair to fix it. Can you address this?

    Ok i did as viper suggested, but it stops checking at stage 3. It is still saying the drive is dirty, and still needs to be checked. I did a defrag and a disk cleanup, and suggestions?
