Discus and support Check for App Updates in Windows 10 Store in Windows 10 Tutorials to solve the problem; That would basically reset Windows Update, so it could help if there's an issue with Windows Update causing the Store updates to not work properly.     Check for App Updates in Windows 10 Store


    That would basically reset Windows Update, so it could help if there's an issue with Windows Update causing the Store updates to not work properly.

    Ok got it, thanks... anything that keeps me from having to reimage(reinstall what's that*Tongue) and wasting 7 1/2 minutes of my life can be helpful*Biggrin

    One thing I've always been curious about but never asked is whether the Store also checks for updates for the Settings app itself, or whether they only exist via Windows Update. I never use any Store apps, so I have uninstalled everything except for apps that include "store" in it as a backup. Should I even bother keeping the auto update/checks for Store apps or keep the Store app installed in this case?

    Settings wouldn't be included in updates from the Store.

    It would still be a good idea to keep apps updated from the Store though. A lot of the built-in apps may still be used in the background and need to keep updated.

    Check for App Updates in Windows 10 Store

    By "built-in" apps do you mean the pre-installed ones like 3d Builder, App Installer, etc. that can only be uninstalled via 3rd party tools and PowerShell through your other tutorial or even deeper ones under the hood? If it's the latter then I'll leave the default options to auto-update.

    More for the Photos, Cortana, Camera, Groove Music, and Movies & TV type.

    If wanted, you could manually check for updates in the Store if you didn't want auto-update turned on.

    I don't use those apps nor plan to in the future, so I guess I'll just leave the Store app alone, but disable auto-updates. Thanks, Shawn *Smile
