Windows 10: Checkbox "Show compatible hardware" no more visible in Device Manager, option "

Hello,In Device Manager->Update driver->"Browse my computer for driver software"->"let me pick from a list od device drivers on my computer", the checkbox "Show compatible hardware" is no more visible. I had it some times ago. What is this mystery? Is there a way to have it back?My system is : Windows 10 64-bit 22H2, build 19045.4046 on DELL Precision M6400Thank you for your help.Christian

PORT not visible in device manager

i don't see the option port in device manager

i tried various method to make it visible that were available on internet but non of them is working for me

i tried following methods

1--i turned on show hidden devices on from view menu

2--i updated all my drivers

3--i tried to add port manually from action>add legacy hardware>install the hardware i manually select from list>ports(com&lpt)>standard port type>communication pot>install

in third method when i again run add legacy hardware it shows that the hardware is no longer present

previously i am sure that the port option was visible

but don,t know actually how it disappeared

and whenever i connect usb drive it is shown under portable device and not under port

any suggestion how should i proceed???

 

No hardware listed in Device manager?

I don't konw whathappend but in Device manager and in my Network connections there is nothing where there used to be a Modem listed and all my hardware in Device Manager. What happend and how do I fix this?

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: Run the Network Adapter troubleshooter.

  Press Windows key +X, select
  Control panel.
  
• 
  Change the view by option on the top right to
  Large icons.
  
• 
  Click on troubleshooting and click on the
  view all option on the left panel.
  
• 
  Run the Network Adapter troubleshooter.
  

Step 2: You may follow the steps and check if it helps in resolving the issue, as the device might be hidden.

    Press Windows key + X.
    
  • 
    Click on Device Manager.
    
  • 
    Click on View.
    
  • 
    Click on Show
    Hidden Devices.
    
  • 
    Search for the Bluetooth device.
