    I have noticed no difference with it on or off. My internet is 25 & 5, and as I usually force an update when I know one is coming, so that may have something to do with it. But for people with slow or metered connections, I personally think they should use this option.

    If I was still using USB Mobile Broadband, like I did up till a short while ago, then, no question, DO would be a "Must" for me.

    Hello Shawn I have a friend who has very limited download capacity because of the rotten broadband coverage out here and is limited to 30GB per month but it sounds like she has an option to download in off peak times and I have read ths and wonder if there is such a "hack" for wnat of a better term.

    It is especially important now because of the size of soem of the updates. I would also lie to know myelf because all my 10 setups are now running really good (a few hiccups) and have the Creator stuff now - on of those largere download I was thinking of.

    John, I would suggest you enable both defer & the 'metered network' options for those connections, and use something like WSUS Offline instead of WU to download the updates. You can setup an trigger to download during off-peak times, then install the updates at your convenience from the local cache in WSUS Offline.
