Same here - I particularly like Firefox extension "Dark Background and Light Text". It is so much more comfortable when browsing. I wish the others would provide dark themes and I would consider them more often.

I have switched to Opera and love love love it! I recommend that if you have not tried it recently that you do so.

You might be pleasantly surprised (as I was) that it is quick, visually pleasing and for my work flow just works better than Chrome.

It also has an import feature which brings in ALL you bookmarks, cookies, and other setting from Chrome so you lose nothing and the transition is seamless!

Give it a go and see if you like it as much as I do after just a few days of using it.

Does Opera offer a dark theme like this which I use in Firefox?

Opera is just Chrome in disguise now. If you want the older Opera feel you should check Vivaldi browser.

I still use IE 11, but also FireFox because Chrome restricts Internet speed to half speed. Not sure why, but if Google would speed up the download speed I may consider Chrome again. My laptop speed is fairly even between the tree browsers, but desktop speeds are much different.

I used to use Chrome but I started feeling that they was controlling too much, even extensions that I was using without any problem at all they started blocking so, I moved to Opera.

After a while Opera started being so slow because of extensions, specially FVD Speed Dial, I have 250 dials and opera takes long to open and most of the time it comes with a white background instead the black one I have set and to have it I'll have to refresh.

So, I have changed to Vivaldi and all those problems are gone, Vivaldi is very fast and easy to be customized and besides all that it still a baby, more will come as it grows.

The only trouble that I am having with Vivaldi but isn't Vivaldi fault it is that I use Sticky Password and it doesn't yet fully work with.

  10. So between Chrome and IE11 HTML5 internet speed test. IE can't handle my 300 - 350 Mbps internet plan (while Chrome even saturated my 802.11ac WiFi connection (at 380 Mbps peak and 359 Mbps average respectively)

I have been with FF for years and is my default browser. However since vr #50, have not been able to look at my security cameras. Every time I try Edge, it is short lived. Importing bookmarks to use is just one of many problems , they seem to get lost on the next upgrade. Edge is just not smooth to use as FF. Tried to use it to sign in to work, 50K employees+, could not do it. Exchange servers said that my browser was out of date??. I.T. said they prefer I.E. only. Some banks that I use only allow IE for bill pay etc. Chrome has installed several times on my PC because I missed the "fine print" where you must uncheck the Install Chrome box. I think less devious people would ask you to check the box to install instead of the other way round. I do not use IE very much, but always seems to work when I do*Biggrin

I tried Chrome one time. It installed an updater program. Between Chrome and the updater my DPC latency went sky high and I had dropouts and clicks in my recording studio program (I use the PC for internet and for recording studio). I had to uninstall Chrome and tried to uninstall the updater but even after uninstalling there was over 100 registry entries remaining and the updater was still causing problems. I had to manually edit the registry to remove the entries. After editing the registry (and a reboot) all was well again. That was with Windows 7 64 bit.

My primary browser is Edge, and secondary is Firefox (which doesn't interfere with the recording studio system).

I have found that Revo Uninstaller does a good job finding all that leftover files and registry junk left behind by programs' default uninstall options.

I used Revo Uninstaller Pro (I have a paid/licensed version) and it didn't remove them all.
