  1. Chromebook upgraded to win 10, lots of hardware not working

Hello everyone, I recently took my older Lenovo 100s Chromebook out and put it do good use by putting Windows 10 on it. However, while doing so many of the peripherals stopped working:

    • Microphone
    • Speakers (HDMI audio not tested)
    • Mousepad (USB mouse works)
    • Volume controls (Likely because windows thinks they are F8-10)

I have already tried updating drivers online and on my computer, restarting each time. I tried uninstalling the drivers and a restart, even up to a system verification scan to check if everything worked. It still didn't.

Note: Mousepad does not show up in device manager, all of these things worked in Chrome OS but stopped once I upgraded to Windows 10.

    Does anyone have a fix?

    :)

    Win 10 upgrade

I am trying to upgrade the 2 PCs we use to tutor seniors in how to use Windows 10. Each time I try the upgrade I get error code: 0xC1900101 - 0x40017/

No hardware has changed since last Win 10 upgrade and all previous Win 10 upgrades went without a hitch with same hardware configuration. I have tried all suggestions I have found searching for error code. I have made 5 attempts to upgrade with suggestions.

    Any other help/suggestions appreciated.

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:
    • Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
    • Try different keyboard or mouse.
    • Restart computer, repeatedly.
    • Google for related issues.
    • Update Bios, because why not.
    • Create boot media and revert to windows 7.
The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.

Installing Windows 10 on how Chromebook

    Hi Ashley

It depends on the specs of your Chromebook, this can be done on a lot of Chromebooks.

What is the exact Model No. of your HP Chromebook - that should be printed on a sticker on the bottom casing . . .
