Windows 10: Chrome's Broken New Tab Page on Edge

This is so weird. You can even you Google Voice Search and the design scheme is Google's. I guess this is Microsoft and this is to be expected.

MS Edge New Tab Page broken as of today 8/21

Today I booted up Windows 10 and it was extremely slow. Task Mgr showed it was Windows Defender.

I waited it out, Windows 10 crashed, but my computer was stilled powered on. I was forced to hold the power button down until the computer powered down. I then powered back on. Windows 10 seemed to be performing ok at this point but I noticed in the Edge
browser when I open new tabs all I get now is the "Where to Next?" search field. I no longer get the "Top sites and suggested content" that the browser settings are set to. I tried changing the setting between "top sites" and "blank page" and back again
to "top sites and suggested content." Nothing works. When I open a new tab all I get is "Where to Next?" with no top sites and no suggested content.

Now Edge is sort of broken and IE 11 doesn't work at all. Thankfully Chrome is working, haha. Microsoft really has some bugs to work out in Windows 10.

You can set New Tab as a Home Page on Microsoft Edge. Please follow the below steps to do so.

Steps:-

• Open Microsoft Edge.
• Click on the three dots (…)
  on the top right corner.
• Select Settings.
• Under the option, “Open with”, check and select, “New Tab Page.”
• Close and Reopen the browser and check.
