Windows 10: Chromium

I got the chromium virus and I uninstalled it but it still activates sometimes. Its not showing up in task manager*Sick*Sick

Cannot uninstall Chromium browser at all on Windows 10.

So WebDiscoverBrowser is nowhere on my computer but the chromium folder is. I have tried all the steps that SusanMaryElizabeth shared but when I click to delete the chromium file it says it cannot be deleted because it is open in chromium. It tells me
to close the file and to try again. The problem is the chromium file is the file I am trying to delete how can the chromium file be open in the chromium file. Any ideas or anyone else have this issue?

Chromium comes bundled on some cheap software and installs itself without user input . . . Chromium is extremely hard to get rid of . . . you can do it manually! Go to C:/Program Files, delete the Chromium folder if it exists Go to C:/Program Files(x86),
delete the Chromium folder if it exists Click on Start - run, type %AppData% and hit enter Delete the Chromium folder Click on Start - run, type, type %LocalAppData% Delete the Chromium folder Delete the Shortcut

 

Have you scanned with any malware scanners? Recommended options are Malwarebytes (free version) and AdwCleaner. There is also a guide on how to remove it.
