Windows 10: Circuit Breaker Flip Led to Error Code 0xc000014c

Got error code 0xc000014c after circuit breaker flipped. Downloaded Windows 10 Installation Media to a USB drive. Changed boot order to boot from the USB drive. When it ran all it said it was doing was repairing one of my other drives. Nothing about the C: drive or repairing anything there. Now on startup it doesn't go straight to sign-in. Instead I get a Windows icon just like before the Installation Media started, as if it's looking for the USB drive (for about 30 seconds), even though I reset to boot from SATA 0. Is there a way to get rid of this annoyance?

The error code 0xc000014c is stating that something has altered the area of the hard drive (HDD) that contains the information used to boot your computer. I would suggest that you try to boot your computer from the Windows 10 installation media and perform
an Automatic repair from the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE). The Automatic repair can detect and resolve the issues that prevent the computer from starting normally.

You can follow the steps below to perform Automatic repair on Windows 10 computer:

1. Insert the media such as (USB or DVD) and restart your computer.
2. If you see a message asking you to “Press any key to boot from DVD,” do so.
3. When you see the Install Windows page, tap or click on
   Repair your computer to start the
   Windows Recovery Mode.
4. In the Windows Recovery Environment, on the
   Choose an option screen, tap or click on
   Troubleshoot.
5. Click on Advanced Options.
6. Click on Startup Repair.
