Windows 10: classic shell configuration

hi ,

I turn on my HP laptop entitled Splitx2 and the following two things happen;

1. I get a message that says " classic shell needs to configure itself for new operating system."

2. When I hit ok on that screen then a next one pops up and says "ADministrator has blocked

you from running the app. Contact Administrator." Then It leaves a statement which reads

"classicstartmenu.eve".

I thought I was the ADministrator.

Classic shell needs to configure itself for the new OS.

I have a computer running windows 10 (upgraded from Win 8.1), and I installed the "classic shell". It was fine earlier.

Now every time when I power up the computer, I see this message:

"Classic shell needs to configure itself for the new OS".

What to do?

How to avoid seeing the above message, or how to remove the "Classic Shell".

I have an HP notebook and keep getting the above messages every time I use my laptop and I would like to continue to use classic shell, and have tried unsuccessfully to sort it out.

Can anyone help?

Classic shell needs to configure itself for the new OS.

Classic Shell is a high quality, reputed, free Start menu which offers the Windows 7/XP menu and other goodies on Windows 10. When you do updates to Windows, it deletes some part of Classic Shell's configuration settings such as the "Pin" context menu
action so it has to configure itself to repair that functionality. It's safe to say Yes to it. It will show only ONCE after a major build of Windows 10 is upgraded.
