Windows 10: Clean install failure loop

Hey guys, not sure if anyone else has had this issue as I've scoured the internet for this issue and haven't found anything similar or the same.

Essentially my desktop was acting really slow after boot up. Normally I'd give it a few minutes to load everything, but this was different. It never got up to normal speed. After tearing through the internet to find solutions to the problem, I gave up and decided to get a new drive altogether in case my hard drive had somehow gotten an infection or the operating system corrupted in some way.

Fast forward to today, and I have a brand new SSD I picked up to do a clean install of windows 10, and sort the old drive out later, possibly as storage once reformatted. Now I've got this problem where it will start the installation process after accepting the terms and declaring the drive I wish to install, and crash during the installation. It will sometimes give me a blue screen and an error code, nothing reoccurring unfortunately, and will reboot. Sometimes it will boot back to my flash drive after this, restarting the process, and other times it will not.

I'm seriously at my wits end with this. I have no idea what's even wrong, and no idea how to fix. After days of trying to do this myself and trying checks/solutions for problems not entirely the same as mine, I'm throwing in the towel. Does anyone have a clue about what's going on here?

P.S.: I can give a list of the parts I have as well as any info needed, pics, etc.

Clean Install Workaround for Vista

You may remember this news story on techPowerUp! a couple of days ago relating to the lack of clean installs when using the Upgrade Editions of Vista, which required an old OS to be installed. However, Paul Thurrott has managed to find a workaround for this issue, which ironically lets users do a clean install Vista without any previous version of Windows, albeit a little tedious. Here are the steps:

• Boot from the Windows Vista Upgrade DVD as normal
• When prompted for a product code, leave this blank
• Select the version of Vista you have purchased and let Vista install
• When you boot to your desktop for the first time, run the Vista setup from Windows
• This time enter your product key
• When asked whether you want to do an Upgrade of Custom install, select custom and choose a clean install
• Windows will now install for a second time and you should be able to activate it

Remember, these steps are only advised for use in order to achieve a clean install of Vista, it is only legal to use the upgrade editions if you have previously purchased the appropriate version of Windows.

"Application Install install package failure!" while installing 13.9

Running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and MSI 6970 Lightning.

I was upgrading from 13.4 after I did a clean uninstall with AMD Catalyst Install Manager.

Doesn't say what installation failed in the install log. Everything in the log says Success but at the very bottom it says "Application Install: install package failure!" but doesn't say what failed to install.

I only install video drivers and no CCC.

The only thing I noticed is AMD Catalyst Install Manager is not listed in my programs list.
