Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond CleanMgr+ and old updates :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.

cleanmgr will not remove windows.old file

Recent upgrade from Windows 8.1 to 10 on 32GB tablet, so I need the space! Disk Cleanup/old version (cleanmgr) logged in as administrator will not remove Windows.old file. Tried safe mode command prompt and del command does not see the folder. I believe
the file owner in Windows 8.1 was "TrustedInstaller", which is not present in my Windows 10 install. Security options dialog says "unable to display current owner" and I am unable to change ownership of the file.

    Any suggestions welcomed.
