Edge (chrome) Cookies and site data

In Google Chrome settings, Cookies and site data allows you to Clear cookies and site data when you quit Chrome.
Below that, in the settings it has a section called Allow, where you can choose cookies you want to keep on close.
This lets me delete all of the cookies on close except for the ones I want to keep, such as for this site for instance.

I used to be able to do the same thing in chrome Edge.
But it seems they have removed the Clear cookies and site data when you quit Edge option from the Site permissions/ Cookies and site data settings page.
Instead they link you to the Privacy and services/ Clear browsing data on close page where you can choose to clear Cookies and other site data.
But then it ignores the settings in Site permissions/ Cookies and site data to allow you to keep the cookies you want.

I just want to be able to clear all the cookies and site data except for the ones I choose to keep when Edge closes like I used to.

But now that doesn't seem to be possible to do any more. Am I missing something?

Click&Clean - Chrome Web Store https://microsoftedge.microsoft.com/...mljdobinliojbk Cookie management is not currently working for me using this extension in Edge Chromium so I'd be interested to know if it works for you. (Cookies to keep/ whitelist)

Click options to configure setting. Click the centre of the "Cookie" button to configure the cookie wiper. For me this currently doesn't work and I don't see a list of cookies. I just get prompted to install the extension. Everything else works as expected.
