Windows 10: Clear Gallery...

    Clear Gallery...


    I am having a hard time finding an answer to this question. I can only assume that either the question is not being asked correctly or the question is not being interpreted correctly by the people answering the question. OK, So, here goes...When I open "Windows File Explorer," in the left hand pane I see an folder item named "Gallery." see attached I have read the this is something new to W11, and I am OK with that. However, I want to be able to clear the items in the list, kind of like clearing the cache. If I select and item in the list and click "Delete" then the item is removed from

    I am having a hard time finding an answer to this question. I can only assume that either the question is not being asked correctly or the question is not being interpreted correctly by the people answering the question. OK, So, here goes...When I open "Windows File Explorer," in the left hand pane I see an folder item named "Gallery." (see attached) I have read the this is something new to W11, and I am OK with that. However, I want to be able to clear the items in the list, kind of like clearing the cache. If I select and item in the list and click "Delete" then the item is removed from the list, but is also removed from my computer...ARG!!!! ( I lost a whole lot of files not realizing this) Not what I want to do. I just want to clear the gallery list, not delete the picture(s) from my computer. BTW, this is not an android phone, it is a laptop!!!!!!!

    Clear Pagefile on Shutdown


    I've been looking into clearing the pagefile, and I found the following steps at a somewhat dated webpage:
    1. In the registry editor, navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management
    2. Set ClearPageFileAtShutdown to the REG_DWORD value of 1.
    3. Restart Windows.
    I'm just wondering whether those steps are still valid, and, if so, does clearing the pagefile work as advertised?

    Hi,

    I suggest that you try to repair your Windows Photo Gallery and see if it resolves your concern. Here are the steps:

    1. Press Windows key + R simultaneously, Type
    AppWiz.cpl and press OK.

    2. Look for Windows Essentials on the list and select it.

    3. Click Uninstall/Change.4. Choose
    Repair all Windows Essentials programs.
