I'm getting "Click here to enter your most recent credential. Microsoft needs you to sign in again."

I click, but nothing happens except that my desktop comes up.

    Anyone else seeing this?

    :)

  2. Click here to enter your most recent credential pops up on every re-boot.

Google Translate on a smartphone is a useful tool to fix an operating system set to a language you don't understand.

The app can do an instant translation of what the camera is showing. I used that myself on my cheapskate Chinese Wifi repeater without an English language option. Click here to enter your most recent credential :D

On a side-note. I got that "click here to sign in" pop up today. Reading through the comments here and the solution attempts, I think I'll just try and wait it out a few days or so, as it looks like it could be some server-side temporary bug.

    Cheers,

    Hans

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

Sorry to know that you are getting a pop up asking you to enter your most recent Microsoft account credential. Let me try and assist you with the issue you are experiencing.

I would suggest you to switch your Microsoft account to a Local account first and then switch back to Microsoft account. Please refer to the following steps:

    1. In the Start search, type 'Settings and press Enter.

    2. Choose 'Accounts'.

    3. Under 'Your account', click 'Disconnect' option available under your Microsoft account name.

    4. Follow the onscreen instruction to create a local account.

Now, on the newly converted Local account, follow these steps:

    1. In the Start search, type 'Settings and press Enter.

    2. Choose 'Accounts'.

    3. Under 'Your account' click 'Connect to a Microsoft account'.

    4. Enter the Microsoft account ID and Password and click Next.

    Follow onscreen instruction.

Let us know if it helps. If you have further queries, we will be happy to help.

I got the same results. I appear to be login in correctly so I'm not sure why I'm getting the notification.

OK, let's give Microsoft some feedback. Sheesh! I shut down and rebooted to be sure of the wording and the silly thing has disappeared. I shut down and rebooted once more and it's still gone. So, now what!? *Redface

I had that yesterday. I signed into my MSA and had to have a code sent to my cell phone to prove who I was. I tried to send the code to my email but it wouldn't except my email address. After I logged in my I checked my email address and it was correct. I don't know why I couldn't log in with my password and email address.

Got the same thing; I went to All settings, Accounts, and below the 'Disconnet my Microsoft account' was the word 'Verify', I clicked that, reopened the notifications and the "Click here to..." was gone but all the other items, I left there deliberately, were still there.
