Windows 10: Clipsp.sys BSOD Windows 10 Pro

Hello, I bought a new Asus Rog laptop with Windows 10 pro. I installed drivers from asus websites and checked them all. All latest updates are installed.

But sometimes I saw BSOD. So I tried to use verifier tool and after that I get BSOD in 2 minutes after startup.

As I can see dmp says that it happens in same place of clipsp everytime. Could someone suggest how to fix this?

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

wdf01000.sys and ntoskrnl.exe BSOD

I'm on Windows 10, 64bit

Basically, whenever I try to update my LPC controller through Device Manager, BSOD with WDF_VIOLATION occurs (culprit being wdf01000.sys)

So I try to use the driver verifier to see which driver is causing the BSOD, but then it causes BSOD (cultprit being ntoskrnl.exe)

Have no idea which driver is causing them

Please help!

Welcome to the 10forums.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
   • Double click the executable to open it
   • Click on the button shown below

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window


AVG is trying to request data from the internet, which is why the network driver is marked as the cause.

Please uninstall AVG and see if it helps

It is further recommended to check your Qualcomm network driver for updates, its driver is not supported for Windows 10.
