Windows 10: Clock_Watchdog_Timeout during video encoding

Discus and support Clock_Watchdog_Timeout during video encoding in Windows 10 BSOD Crashes and Debugging to solve the problem; Over the past days I've gotten the clock watchdog timeout bsod during very high cpu usage (was rendering some video).     Software To Re-Encode Videos And Keep Codec?


    Hello all,

    Does anyone know of a software that will convert my videos to the same codecs to keep the same quality? I'm having an issue uploading them to the cloud. A re-encode does the trick but, the issue is software limitations. With Format Factory Freetime software it does the job but, not well. With SUPER SUPER © Free 3D Video Converter | MP4 MKV HEVC/H.265 VP9 | FREE Download it re-encodes perfectly but, it doesn't apply a thumbnail to the video. Any suggestions?

    Clock_Watchdog_Timeout during video encoding

    CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT After Leaving PC for 5-10 Minutes


    Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
    Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

    1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
    2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
      • Double click the executable to open it
      • Click on the button shown below

    Clock_Watchdog_Timeout during video encoding [​IMG]

    If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window.

    The 0x101(CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT) is mostly caused by BIOS or hardware problem, the challenge is to find software problems.
    I suggest to update your BIOS.
