Windows 10: Close other apps. It looks like another app is using camera already.

I know this is not a brand new issue, there are lots of articles already there on this problem, but I did't found any of them to be helpful.

I'm having this problem since 4,5 months. Let me describe it clearly:

Whenever I'm using my laptop and try to open camera, it shows the above error.
But, if I open the camera just after starting the Laptop, then the camera App works fine.
So, every time I need to use my camera, I've to go through restarting the laptop.


I tried the so called process explorer, but it ended up showing no background process using my camera.

I thought it's due to some 3rd party applications software or malicious programs so and I have reset my laptop 3 times within last three months just to get rid of this problem, but still it is not resolved.

I thought it was driver's problem, so I even removed the driver and let the window select the best driver for me, but it still didn't work.

I tried Driver Booster Pro just to make my camera driver up to date, but it also didn't work.


Now I'm totally frustrated!! Please help me as soon as possible!! Thanks in Advance.

Missing apps: Store, People, Photos, Games & Camera on upgrading to 10

Thanks for replying spunk. That's the 'alphabetical' list I was referring to, none of these apps are in that 'All apps' list. Any more suggestions?

To better isolate your concern, we'd like to check the following:

• The results after performing the steps posted on the link that we've shared.
• If you're getting the same resolution when accessing the camera app on the device where the camera is physically connected.

Remote app for android

I recently traded in my iphone for an android, and just realized that hippo remote is iphone only. I'm looking for a similar app for android so I can use it as a remote for my htpc. Any suggestions?
