windows security CLSID: (6CED0DAA-4CDE-49C9-BA3A-AE163DC3D7AF)

I keep getting a windows security CLSID: (6CED0DAA-4CDE-49C9-BA3A-AE163DC3D7AF). when I click on details it said "verified publisher: Microsoft windows". Is this program from Microsoft??

Hi,

This past Sunday the 15th and Monday the 16th I've had a controlled folder access pick on CLSID {6CED0DAA-4CDE-49C9-BA3A-AE163DC3D7AF} this is a Code:

And thinking that something may be wrong with updates I went to run the SFC >Dism-Restorehealth >SFC sequence but it wouldn't run in an elevated powershell, it did complete successfully in an elevated CMD prompt.

I couldn't get past the SFC scan as powershell threw a Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service error. This was seen before and after I completed the SFC >Dism-Restorehealth >SFC sequence in an elevated CMD prompt.

I am up to v1903 | Build - 18362.356 and as mentioned here I to didn't get a MSRT. My Defender updates have been successfully installed over the 15th, 16th, and 17th so I'm not sure if the CLSID SNAFU is related to the MSRT.

The questions I have are;

• Is running the SFC >Dism-Restorehealth >SFC sequence in a CMD prompt the same as running it in powershell?
• And does anyone think there may be something amiss with my Powershell prompt and if so, how do I repair it?

For now all I can do is watch if I get any more controlled folder access picks on that CLSID.

I've noticed in the past that although powershell is supposed to take the place of the command prompt, it doesn't always work. Can't remember a particular instance at the moment, though.
