Windows 10: CLSIDs listed by Security

Windows Security has just started blocking and listing some CLSID files. I have not experienced this before and although I have tried reading some articles I am not at all clear what I should do about it. There is a lot which seems contradictory, ranging through do nothing, quarantine, remove or allow.<br>

Some start with 6CEDDAA. Most are related to Piriform files (I think I have read news items about MS reacting adversely to the new owners of CCleaner) and IOB files (not popular with Malwarebytes) which are identified as PUAS/ PUPS. I have some notifications saying that the affect the operation of Windows adversely but I have not found in what way. They are all tagged as 'Low'. I have used CCleaner, Speccy, Recuva and IOB apps for many years.

Event ID 10016, CLSID and APPID

Hey, I've been trying to resolve this same dcom issue myself, and I followed the steps you listed @FreeBooter, but when I try to do the last step, I firstly when clicking "edit" get a message saying



And then when I do enter the menu after clicking "ok" on that dialog box, the add button is greyed out.

I'm 100% certain I followed all the steps correctly. I triple-checked it. But no dice...

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
