    Color scheme reset

First of all, thank you dear Microsoft, and everyone involved in supporting/developing your products for adding fancy stuff nobody actually cares about and adding at least one noticeable issue after each and every update. Oh, and for forcing the updates as well!

So I run my beloved Windows 10 on an ASUS gaming laptop, and I've noticed that the "Normal" color scheme in ASUS Splendid utility and the "normal" of windows are different from one another. Since the last major July update, the display color temperature that I choose through the ASUS utility keeps resetting to Windows' default color temperature. I tried reinstalling the utility- it did not help.

Any help? Please do not suggest updating any graphics drivers or returning to previous Windows 10 version as these options are not associated with any good memories of solving any of the 15300030208tihw48 issues I had with Windows.

    :)

  2. Color scheme reset

    Hi Arzesen,

Setting the color scheme on your computer is a good way to reduce strain on the eyes and also ensure that you'll be able to work with a screen suitable for your needs. To address your concern, I just would like to know, what is the build installed on your
Windows 10? You'd be able to have that checked by pressing the
    Windows button + R
to open the Run box, and then type
    winver
    and press Enter.

While waiting for your response, I suggest that you check the display settings for night time on Windows 10.
This could be one possible factor that might be overriding the settings you apply. Another way would be by ensuring that the
Color Management by performing these steps:

    1. Right click on your Desktop and click on Display settings.
    2. Under the Display options, look for Display adapter properties.
    3. Once you've opened the Properties for your Display Settings, click on the
      Color Management tab.
    4. Click on the Color Management... button.
    5. On the Color Management window, tick on the Use my settings for this device and click on
      Close button.

Please don't hesitate to keep me posted on your thread of the results.

    Default color scheme

    Hello michaelholcomb1,

I hope your day is off to a great start. I wanted to provide you with steps on how to change your default color scheme. Also, because your request is so general, if there is another color scheme you are referring to, and these steps do not help, please let
    me know.

    To change your color scheme:

    1. click on your start menu to and type settings

    2. when settings appears, press enter or click on it to open settings

    3. There should be a section called personalization, click on that to open it.

    4. With personalization open, select colors

    5. under choose a color, set the button to on.

    6. there should be another button further down the page that has show color on Start, taskbar, action center and tile bar AND Make start, taskbar, and action center transparent. Make sure that is set to off

If you want to change your theme, you can do that at the same time as well.

    1. from the color page you are on, the left hand menu should have themes listed.

    2. click on themes to open that page

    3. under theme settings, you can to apply a theme. There you should see some windows default themes.

    4. click on the default theme you would like to apply.

Again, if these steps do not help and clear up what you need, please let me know. Its my goal to make sure you have what you need to fix the problem you are having.

    Have a great weekend,

    Danielle
