  1. Colour Calibrator Reverting While Performing

    Hello,

I have a dual monitor setup, with mismatched monitors. Last time I calibrated my displays was a year ago, and I still have the same hardware.

Now when I try to use the Display Color Calibration it only previews the present set of changes for a flash before reverting the display to what it was, while I am performing the calibration. Ie, when I slide the blue gamma adjustment slider, it will show me the change while it is moving, but if I stop moving or let go of the click the display goes back to what it was, while the indicator stays in place. It is impossible to fine-tune the colour portion of the calibration with this happening. This happens on both monitors. This makes me feel like I have self-correcting monitors, but I know I do not, as I didn't have this problem last year.

Any suggestions on where the problem might be?

    Thanks

    :)

Fall Creators Update Colour Calibration Issue

Hello folks, first post on here.

My problem is the Fall Creators Update seems to have an issue with colour calibration - I have quite an old calibration tool by modern standards which is a Pantone Huey Pro, but it's worked perfectly from Windows 7 until the FC Update. Now the ICC profile won't stick and the screen is very bright with a magenta cast. I see other people are having problems with colour calibration with this update.

I've gone into Task Scheduler and tried disabling the Calibration Loader in 'Windows Colour System', then gone through the calibration procedure again as other forum posts have suggested, and all looks good until the moment comes to save the profile and exit the calibration procedure, then Windows reverts to the bright screen with magenta cast and loses the calibrated settings.

I'm a photographer so I'll need to get this sorted otherwise I can't accurately edit my photos. I've previously rolled back Windows but within days the FC Update forcibly installs again. Very frustrating!

    Can anyone help me please?

  3. Colour Calibration

    Hi Susan,

What's the exact HP model you have? I'll research the model and find you the instructions we need to get the colour calibration done.

    Let me know!

    Colour Calibrator Reverting While Performing

    Dual monitor colour calibration

I've been trying to figure this out for a decent amount of time and it's driving me nuts now. I have two identical brand and type of monitors, a Nvidia graphics card (1060) with the most up to date drivers (I already re-installed them). The monitors aren't
aligned color-wise. Creating an icc calibration profile (through colour management in windows 10) and setting it as the default for the monitor I'm trying to adjust is temporary, it reverts very quickly. The system defaults are set to "use windows display
calibration" and the monitor with the set profile is also set to "use my settings for this device"

What's preventing this "default" from being a default setting? How do I make this calibration permanent?

Sidenote, using the Nvidia control panel to adjust the desktop colour settings yields the same results when any colour adjustments are made. After applying, the change is temporary, a few seconds. Even when the Nvidia control panel is set to use Nvidia settings
    over other applications

    Thanks!
