Windows 10: Completely Block Software From Internet

Hi all, I am trying to block software from connecting to the internet.
I have a backup image of my PC with it all working offline, but as soon as I connect it to the internet, the software connects.

It does this without opening/running the software, I think it has a background service or something that goes out on its own?

I have looked to try and see what is doing it to no avail, tried Glasswire to block it connecting but it still does it.

Can I find out the IP its connecting to and block that?

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Blocked Software Publishers

When trying to install driver and support software downloaded from the samsung site I get the error message "This publisher has been blocked from running software on your machine.

I have been in contact with support about this and all they were able to suggest is the same things I was able to find in old google searches.

Adding the site to the trusted list via Internet Explorer.

Changing UAC control settings to the lowest.

Running program as administrator.

How can this feature of Windows (blocking certain publishers) be disabled?

If not then will this be fixed in a update very soon?

Is there any other way around this such as removing certificates from software completely (I'm willing to make my own judgement call on what I install)

Because if not then Windows 10 is useless and I would rather go back to Windows 7 than not be able to use all the features on my computer because driver and utility programs are being blocked.

 

Internet Access Blocked


So I just noticed my plex media server is unaccessible from my TV, says server unavailable. I can view the server (which is running on my laptop) when I go to 127.0.0.1 but if I try and go to the full private ip address I get this message.
I even tried turning Windows firewall completely off and I still get that message. I also get it when trying to log in to my router....
I also get general failure when pinging any local IPs
What is blocking me, if not windows firewall?
