Windows 10: Compressed zipped folders Error

I am attempting to open a zipped folder that I recently completed downloading this is actually about my 5th attempt at this, I even bought an external hard drive thinking that my computer might not have enough space, and yet ... I keep getting the same Windows error message.... "Windows cannot open the folder. The Compressed zipped Folder 'E:\insert folder name here.zip is invalid. The source of the file swears that they have no issues opening the folder on their end. So, how do I get this folder open as I desperately need the contents for my job!? I should add that this happens for several other compressed zipped folders that I acquired from the same provider. Thanks!

This error message pops up when I try to zip a file:

Compressed (zipped) folder error

Unable to complete operation

Access denied

I have tried the two methods suggested on this forum and it still doesn't work. it has worked previously not sure how that changed

Every time I start my computer, I get a box pop up with "Compressed zipped folders error".

I can't work out why as it is on startup so I haven't tried to open or compress any files.

Does this happen with all the files or just one file.

If it happens with all then the zipper has gone bad.

Also you did not mention whether you are using the default windows zip or any other software.

Can you please let me know that?
