Windows 10: Computer automatically switches my tv to game mode.

I'm using a 50 inch onn roku tv and every time I start a game in windows it says game mode was turned on by my console and the tv settings won't allow me to turn it off.

Call me crazy but I would actually prefer it to be off. How can I make it turn off? To be clear windows is changing my tv settings and I have found no way to stop it from doing so.

DX12 not switching to game mode on TV's

I've noticed that in dx11 when I start a game my tv would automatically switch to game mode which is great. but in dx12 it switches to graphics mode which still has all the post-processing that adds input lag. I noticed this with battlefield 1. latest
drives, etc. also noticed this with DOOM (2016), instead of going to game mode it goes to graphics mode. I'm using a GTX 1080 with a Sony HDTV @ 1080p. Any one else notice this?

 

Disabling Game Mode

Whenever I play youtube, or a browser game in full screen, Game Mode automatically turns on, and I get a black screen for about a second as it is switching modes. Then a lot of actions can cause it to turn game mode off, so I get the black screen again
- say, changing the sound volume, or bringing the mouse pointer close to the edge of the screen. Then in another second it's turning game mode on again. And off again. This started happening about a couple months ago, and is extremely distracting, inconvenient,
and frustrating. All info on disabling game mode, is about going into settings, and turning it off there, but it IS off there. It turns on automatically when I am in full screen. Can anyone suggest a solution? If it matters, I am running Athlon 200 GE processor,
coupled with Radeon RX 570 graphics card. This is my "media center" PC connected to the TV, and it's been doing everything else fine.

Game Mode is automatically enabled to some games only. There are some games that require you to manually enable Game Mode before you can use this feature on your Windows 10 device.

To manually turn on Game Mode, you can follow the steps below:

• Press the Windows key on your keyboard + G.
• Select Settings.
• In the General tab, select the check box for Game Mode.
