    Computer BSODs

Hello, I have had a great deal of problems with my computer that I built in 2018. For about 5 months it went without any crashes/errors. From that point on, I have been plagued with numerous BSODs.

I could be doing anything: Watching videos on Youtube or Netflix, playing/running resource intensive games/programs or programs that use very little resources, idling, and the computer will suddenly freeze, bluescreen, and then restart.

I have received numerous stop codes, some that I can remember but not perfectly: apc index mismatch, watchdog timer, kernel security failure, page file index in nonindexed area, and the list goes on and on.

    I have replaced:

    - RAM Corsair Vengeance 2x8 DDR4 to Corsair Vengeance 2x16 DDR4

-Motherboard ASRock B450 Steel Legend to ASRock B550 Phantom 4 Gaming

    -Monitors/Cables

My pagefile sizes are set to 1.5x for the minimum size and 4x the maximum size of my physical RAM.

I am NOT overclocking or using an XMP, and my RAM is set at factory 2133mhz.

    Tests:

    -I have run MemTest

    -I have switched RAM Slots/Removed 1 Dimm

-I have run chkdsk and sfc /scannow

When I run chkdsk it normally says that it is fixing/repairing even if I run them back to back

When I run sfc /scannow it SOMETIMES will tell me it found corrupt files, or no violations

    - I have tried fresh installs without internet connection until after all of my drivers that I have on a USB have finished.

I have NOT tried replacing my CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 ,my GPU XFX Radeon VII or my power supply.

I have attached my minidump files and my system information. I fresh installed yesterday, so hopefully the error may be easier to see.

    Thanks for reading/helping.

  2. BSOD on new computer while gaming

I just got a new computer about a month ago. Everything is new and I get BSOD (windows 10) while gaming mostly although it sometimes happens while I'm just using the computer. Sometimes the computer doesn't BSOD and just gives me a Access Violation Error. Not sure if related.

Here is the link to download output files from the V2 script.

Dropbox - windows crash - Simplify your life

    Any help is appreciated

    Steps I have taken:
    • Updated all drivers and bios to latest versions
    • Checked ram with windows memory test to see if ram is faulty. (A stick was and it was removed waiting for replacement)
    • Clean Installed Windows after finding faulty ram
    • I had 2 x 2080Ti installed, I removed one, tested and then swapped cards; issue still exist

    Random BSOD while browsing internet

BitDefender is nothing special. mwac.sys causes BSODs anywhere.
A tiny documentation can be found here: Solved Random BSODs - Windows 10 Forums
In that very thread, the suggested action apparently worked.

The storage and network filters of any third party antivirus can cause BSODs. Neither MBAM nor BitDefender is any special. For a regular antivirus, it may be shifted to an alternative; but MBAM has no alternative. So a clean install of the said program is the most feasible first step.
As far as the first step is not failing, it is better to not think for the second step. Because the BSODs are not universal, failure at the first step is not universal; and success at the second step is also not universal.
That is why I posted that my suggestion may work, or may not. Let us see where it goes.

BSOD issue after fixing another BSOD error

    Hi Williams,

There are several reasons why BSOD occur, which has different resolution. To check for any corruption or the integrity of your computer's Windows, we suggest that you perform a
Check Disk by following these steps:

    • Type cmd in the search bar.
    • Right-click on the Command Prompt, then Run as administrator.
    • Type chkdsk x: /r, the /r command will fix errors found on the disk.

Let us know if you need further assistance.
