Windows 10: Computer crash when watching video

Hello,


Every time i start viewing a video, it crashes. Displaying:


Stopcode: SYSTEM SERVER EXCEPTION

What failed: ddkmd.sys


Ive tried everything that i can think of to get it to work.


Hopefully someone can help me, otherwise i will have to reset the computer.

• Let us know whether the issue is specific to online videos or it is happening with other videos present in your system too?
• Do you face the same issue when using Microsoft Edge ?

As the initial troubleshooting steps, I would suggest you to check all the available Windows Updates. Installation of recent Windows Updates should fix the issue.

If the issue still persists, then try updating the Display driver and check. Here is the steps:

    Press Windows Key + R on your desktop screen to go to run command box.

    Type devmgmt.msc and hit Enter.
    
  • 
    In Display Adapter, expand Display Adapter, right-click , and then click
    Update.

windows 10 crashing when watching videos online

Yes I have completed said steps and still this is an issue. I have updated graphics drivers, windows, the whole 9 yards.

 

Can't watch videos on Win 10

• Which web browser are you using to watch online videos?
• Do you receive any error message?
• What is the make and model of the computer?

If you are using Internet Explorer to watch online videos, I suggest you to
follow the steps mentioned in the following link and check:Why won't videos play in Internet Explorer?
