    XweAponX a drive from 6 years ago would have been fast in those days. The drives today are better. Hybrid drives are nothing more than a way that manufacturers can get rid of their remaining old platter drive stock before they switch over to only having SSD and M.2 units being the only type of storage hardware available.

    This next year you will start seeing laptops the same size as Apples Mac line. No DVD or Blu-Ray drives, no Hard Drives. All on the go with USB-C starting to be put into them with 1 or 2 legacy USB 3.0 interfaces. Even worse for those who love to upgrade RAM and storage is that you will also see laptops for Windows having no way to crack them open without the right tools, since the battery will be like the style that Apple uses.
