Windows 10: Computer fully locking for no discernable reason

Hey all,


Im having a major issue with my pc, in that it will completely lock up without warning, the cursor disappears and the whole machine become unresponsive forcing me to force a shutdown. Annoyingly, these events arent listed in the event viewer, so its hard to get any details as to what actually happens.


So far its happened:

-When attempting to run certain games, but not all the only link between games is battleeye, but some battleeye games are fine

-When attempting to transfer files from the ssd to a usb drive

-when checking for windows updates.


Also on my list of issues is that the pc won't synchronise the clock, will slow down massively after a short while in use, wont complete any windows updates, among some other smaller issues that i cant remember as its been so long since theyve had a chance to surface.


Ive been trying to fix these issues for over a year now, and cannot find any mention of anyone having these same issues. Ive tried factory resets, updating every single driver, new power supply, monitoring stress tests, and countless other suggestions.


Im really at my wits end with this machine, so any advice would be greatly appreciated

Vengeance ddr4 4x8gb ram

computer keeps locking up...

him your computer locks up.... check what your running and see if it affects it cause this shouldn't happen it could be your ram or your mouse but i'm just giving a suggestion

 

make computer fully admin

there's something call 'admin' on a computer

there's certain files you cant access

and some software need to be open as 'admin' even tho you are already admin

so this 'admin' wording by microsoft is false + unhelpful cos it's not really fully admin

Lock screen not working properly on Windows 10 computer.

This issue might occur if there is change in lock screen settings.

To assist you better, please provided us the information below:

• When you say that "It is not flapped over to password when clicking", you tried to check the issue by clicking through external mouse?
• Have you made any changes to the computer prior to the issue?

I suggest you to follow the steps below to change the picture of the lock screen and also try to update Display Adapter driver.

Step 1: I suggest you to follow the steps below to set the lock screen pictures.

1. Right click on Desktop screen.

2. Then click on Personalize.

3. Click on Lock Screen.

4. Try to select the lock screen picture.

Step 2: I recommend you to update the latest driver for display adapter in Device Manager.

1. Press Windows Key + R Key.

2. Then type “devmgmt.msc” without the quotes and hit on
Enter Key.

3. Expand Display Adapter.

4. Right click on the driver and click on Update driver software.
